What is hot on social media, seen through the eyes of the people creating and sharing it. We asked four creators from the same neighbourhood how a local story travels online.
How a post becomes a conversation

The clip that started it was 40 seconds long: a closed pharmacy, a hand-written sign and a question. By the evening three other creators had answered with their own clips, each from a different street.
I do not report. I point. Then the people who know more than me fill in the rest, and that is the story.

What the replies asked for
Which other pharmacies had closed in the last year.
Who owned the building and what was planned for it.
Whether the nearest open pharmacy was reachable by bus.
Replies were read aloud at a meeting the following week. Photo via Pexels.

From feed to meeting room
A creator posts a question, not a conclusion.
Neighbours reply with what they know.
Someone collects the replies into a document.
The document goes to the council as a petition.
The conversation beyond your feed is often the one happening in it, if you follow the replies far enough.
